Easter Fun - Part 1

I have a lot of pictures and videos to post so I thought it would be easier to do it in 2 posts.
We let Addie dye eggs this year. Amazingly, no eggs were broken in the process! She thought it was pretty fun and wanted to keep putting them in the dye. She was a little freaked out that her hands were stained for a few days though.

Our ward had an Easter brunch and egg hunt at the church. They broke up the grassy areas into age groups so she was in there with kids up to 2 years old. I was surprised how fast she caught on and that she didn't just stand there watching. She must have really wanted the candy...

Digital Journaling

When I was pregnant with Addie, I bought a cute pregnancy journal called "The Belly Book". It was easy to fill in and had places for pictures. It also had a lot of pages that I was never going to fill in, like pictures of ultrasounds, bringing baby home, and it had some silly questions that I didn't like. So this time around, I've decided to make a digital journal. This way I can include only the pages that I want and edit all those silly questions. I've already designed a bunch that I can just fill in as I go. Here are a few that I have designed so far:

4-wheelin' Addie

A guy Daniel works with was trying to get rid of this motorized toy 4- wheeler. I guess he asked 2 people before Daniel and they both said no, so Daniel brought it home. I thought she might be scared of it but she loves it! I think it's pretty funny to watch her ride it.

We finally took Addie to the doc. last week because she was coughing a lot and wheezing when she breaths. They gave her an antibiotic and a nebulizer with medicine. I was a little concerned when they told me I would have to sit with her for about 10 minutes every 4-5 hours. How in the world do you get a toddler to sit still for 10 minutes? She actually did VERY well with it. Towards the end of the week she was holding the mask to her face herself...for the whole 10 minutes. We love our little girl...

I just like this picture...poor thing has my big teeth!!
One last thing that I am so proud of. I checked out a of bunch of books and videos from the library about using the potty for Addie to watch. She's been using her potty before she gets in the bath at night, but there is always like a week between the nights that she actually goes. I've been letting her watch them with her little pink potty in the living room naked. The first time she sat on it for awhile then stood up and peed on the floor. Today though was good!! We watched one of the movies then I asked her to sit on her potty one more time before I put her diaper back on. When she stood up, there was actually something there! Usually when she goes she gets upset like she did something wrong but today she looked happy, proud. I gave her a 'treat' (some marshmellows) and she was very happy. Maybe we'll actually get somewhere with this potty training thing before she's even 2.

I heard Beyonce's song 'Single Ladies' today and I think every time I hear it it will forever remind me of this video my little sister made for her church. It is a pretty cute video. My sister plays Beyonce.

I do have some other things that I wanted to post but I can't find the cord that connects my camera to the computer. I saw it laying somewhere a few days ago and I thought to myself "I should pick that up before it gets lost" and what do ya know? Now I can't find it!
