Easter 2014

Sunday mornings around here a busy. And usually stressful. On Easter, Daniel and I got up and got ready before the kids woke up so that we would have time to do an egg hunt! We didn't do Easter baskets this year. I just laid some things out on the table and they were fine with that!

We let Dia try to find some eggs first. At first she didn't quite know what she was doing, but then she got in to it! She was so excited after she figured it out!

I wanted to get pictures of everyone before we went to church. Easter and Christmas are 2 times a year that I make my kids all match. :) We were not very successful with a great group shot!

We had a friend  take a family picture for us after church. It was pretty bright and they kids were not wanting to stand there!

These next ones are outside in our front yard when we got home. I was determined to get some nice pictures of all of them!

This is what it looks like trying to get 4 kids to take a picture. *sigh* Exhausting.

I decided to try one more time once we got in the house to get all 4 of them. Success! I got some good ones!!

This next series cracks me up. Look at Dia...
Reaching for the head band...

Eating something off the headband...

Guilty face for pulling in down...

...and not caring. Making silly faces like Addie and Johnny!

Picassa made this nice slide show. :)

First Grade Concert

Addie has been going to music at the Elementary school. She goes with one of the first grade classes twice a week for 30 minutes. It's been really good for her and I think it helps her get her 'social fix'. Every year a different grade gets to put on a little concert and this year it was the first grader's turn! Addie got to attend extra practices and 2 performances! She even had 2 speaking parts (which, to be honest I was really worried about when she first told me she volunteered for a speaking part!). We practiced every day and she did so well!

The younger kids were much less interested in watching it the second time around. :)

Here are some videos I took of her. (If you don't want to watch the whole 5 minute video, skip to about 2:30 to see her speak!!). I was trying to watch Dia and video so they are a bit shaky :)

Opal Dawn 4 Months

Our little #4 is already 4 months old. I've decided that one of our best purchases in our marriage has been a nice camera. When the lighting in the room is good, I feel like I can get a decent picture! Yes, I do realize that in many of these pictures she is making the same face but I have a really hard time choosing which photos to post. So please, enjoy them all!  ;)

Contemplating life. :)

Love her ruffle bum onesie!

Drooly face!

She often has her little hands together. The other day a stranger commented on how cute it was that she sits like that. Yes, it is cute!
