We shall call him...

Henry.

Here is the new addition to our family. I have been looking for a kitten for about 2 weeks and was starting to think we weren't going to be able to get one until the spring (when there were more available). Tuesday night I got a call back from someone on craigslist and we went and picked him up! The people were already calling him Henry so we thought it fit. He is only about 7 weeks old and is pretty tiny. As soon as we got him home he snuggled up with Daniel. Our last cat LOVED to snuggle with him too. I think it's their way of making him fall in love with them! Daniel is not the biggest fan of pets but he let's me have them. Thanks Daniel!!

Bubbles

I've noticed Addie's vocabulary seems to be expanding every day. Well, at least she is trying. She mimics a lot of things we say. I like this video because you can hear 3 of her words: bubble, wow and bye. Sorry for all of my talking, she needed some encouragement to keep talking.

Lets rewind...

to before Christmas. Things got so crazy before we went to Vegas I didn't get a chance to post a lot of pictures. So here they are, this might be long.

The weekend before we went home Daniel and I went to Spokane for his company's Christmas party. We dropped Addie off at her Aunt and Uncle's house in Olympia and went for a nice weekend away! I was a little nervous leaving her but knew she was in good hands.

Saturday morning we got up early and went to the Spokane Temple. Brrr...it makes me cold just looking at these pictures. It was absolutely freezing that day!!

The hotel we stayed at was beautiful. It was old and had lots of history. I tried to get a few good pictures.

This was the room where the food was for the company party Saturday night. Apparently when they remodeled the hotel, the lifted this entire room out then pretty much tore down and rebuilt the rest of the hotel then put this room back. The paint and detail was amazing!

We did get out on the dance floor for a few songs.

It was fun to go during the holiday season because they had the main lobby very decorated with tree, lights and plants.

The main lobby.

I've always wanted to get room service and have breakfast in bed. Since we didn't have to chase Addie around I talked Daniel into paying the extra money and ordering breakfast. It was yummy.

Before we went to Spokane we made a gingerbread house one night. I thought I had already posted these pictures but I can't find them, so sorry if this is a duplicate part of my post.

Addie was blowing us kisses.
The perfectionist hard at work.

She was much more interested in eating the candy than helping us put them on the house.
The finished product.

After a little while Addie got down from the table and starting coloring at her little table. She is usually pretty good about coloring on her papers, but I turned around to check on her and found her table and chairs with nice blue scribbles all over! I love how she grabs her paper when I turn around and she realizes she's been caught!

Family Pictures

My family tries to get a family picture every time we are all in town. It's always chaos and I'm pretty sure the photographers hate us by the time we are done. This photographer did a great job, she got Addie to smile in both pictures. Sorry the quality is bad, I had to scan them.

Future Pianist

All little kids probably love the piano, but you know it's always so cute when it's your own!

Daniel's mom is a piano teacher so you would think he would be able to play well. He doesn't really but he knows a few songs. This is him and his brother playing a song that I had never heard before. I think it's cute. My favorite part is Addie 'playing' along with them on the couch. She is almost on beat!

Christmas at the Pedersen's

I think all of these were actually taken the Sunday after Christmas so the kids were playing with all of the toys.
We were starting to think we should buy her a little tool bench instead of a kitchen because she loved this one!

Grandma and Grandpa Pedersen with Addie and her cousin.

She also loved the piano (there will be more about this later). I think it might be a long time before we get one if these.

They were really cute together.

Christmas Day

This picture pretty much sums up what we did most of the day. It was a good Christmas but would have been MUCH better of Addie had been feeling better. She was not in to opening presents or playing with her new toys and slept most of the day. We had a good time though. Daniel got a gift certificate for a router and tickets to go see Blue Man Group on our anniversary. I got a bunch of great Cd's, some clothes and gift cards. Addie is getting a wood kitchen once we get back so she got some adorable little wood accessories to go with it!
Holidays are a little tricky with both our families living so close. We try to divide our time equally between the 2 houses. Daniel flew in late Christmas Eve so he just slept at his parents house and opened presents with them in the morning. We saw him late Christmas morning to open presents at my parents house. Then back to his parents house for more presents and finally my parents house again for dinner.

I think the pacifier was in her mouth constantly for about 3 days. Now we are back to only allowing her to have it in her bed.

We did lots of this...snuggling.

She really tried to get into opening things but it was really hard.

Cookies

One night we made cookies with my Aunt, niece and nephew. Unfortunately this was when Addie was pretty sick so she was not able to join us but it was fun! I didn't get a picture of any of the finished products but here are some of people at work...
Can you tell they are sisters?

My mom.

Here is one more video of Addie was she was sick. I don't think I could have handled much more, she just kept whining. I took this for Daniel to see since he was not here.
