On a Roll!!

I've been working on this project for awhile. It's number 11 on my list, and honestly I am pretty happy it is finally finished!!
I bought one of these tables for Addie last year and she decorated it herself with crayons, markers and food.
I thought it needed something else so...

ta-da!! I painstakingly (is that a word?) painted the whole thing. The top is painted with chalkboard paint. I got some vinyl to cover it for when she is coloring, eating, etc. and sewed some bias tape around the edge.

Today was the first time I actually let her use the chalk on it...I think she likes it!

Projects # 1 and 5 - DONE!

Project #1 is Addie's birth album. I've had all the pictures in there for awhile but needed to finish putting small captions by all of them. It's only been 2 years...better late than never right?
Project #5 on my list is this neat car seat cover. We didn't really have to worry about covering Addie because she was born in June but this baby is going to be born just as the weather is getting pretty cold and it's rainy outside so I thought this would be great. I found the tutorial here. I love this print! I almost decided not to do the car seat thing and just make a blanket instead. We are having a debate about whether or not it is too feminine. I think its can be used for a boy, although it does have peach/salmon on it. Daniel thinks it's just girly. If we do have a boy, he won't know what's girly or boyish.

I wasn't a fan of the corners laying all over the floor so I cut them off and made the cover an odd shape (not rectangular).

I also made Addie some more leggings. Jo-Ann has some really cute Halloween knee high socks right now. This was the best picture I could get of her. Later this same day Daniel had to take her with him to the store and she wore that outfit, tutu and all. He said they got some weird looks! She is learning to express herself and her personality.

24 Weeks

10%

I am just really excited about this. We have been trying to follow Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University get out of debt plan. We started in March and today have paid off 10% of our total debt!! I know 10% doesn't sound like a lot, BUT if you knew what 10% of our debt is, you would be impressed. Tomorrow I am going to make a phone call and pay off one of our accounts, that will be our third debt that we have been able to completely pay off since we started. Now on to pay off our car!!

Project #4

As of today, I have 12 things on my 'projects to do before the baby comes' list. It gets longer everyday. I skipped ahead to #4 today. I found this tutorial for these here and had to try it out!! I love little kids in baby leggings but they are so expensive. I picked these socks up at Rite Aid for $1.99. After I got my sewing machine to stop acting up, this project really only took about 10 minutes. My kind of project!! I plan on making lots more for Addie, especially when the holiday socks start coming out. I might even make some boy ones, just in case we are seeing blue this Thanksgiving :)

I think they will look fantastic on her skinny little legs!!

New Record!

I know it's not great to read people's blog posts with the details of how they are potty training their kids so I will try to make this short. I am just so excited for Addie and the progress she is already making at only 25 months old.

For her birthday we gave her this "How to Potty Train Your Monster" book. She loves reading it! We read it over and over and over when we first got it. I really tried to emphasize the page that talks about getting 'treats' when you use the potty. It had been awhile since she actually did anything on her potty although she sat on it all the time. We were being patient, she is still a little young. It seemed one day it all clicked and all of the sudden she was really excited to use it. She started going once a day before or right after her bath (which is before bed). Then she started going twice a day everyday, sometimes more. Yesterday it was 5 times! I was very proud of her. Today at church while changing her diaper I asked if she needed to go and she said yes. Usually the 'big' potties scare her but she used it! We've been giving her gummy bears, marshmallows or chocolate chips for her 'treats' ( only a few). I am going to have to think of something that is not so sugary if she is going to be getting so many treats! I guess maybe it's time for some pull-ups? I don't really know how this works and I am not sure if I am ready to deal with the "mommy I have to go" every time we go somewhere. But I figure it's better to do it now while I have to go all the time anyway right?

Need Help!!

This is going to sound really weird, but it's worth a shot. Does anyone, by any chance, remember the website from the baby ticker I had on here previously? I accidentally deleted and cannot find it again. I'm pretty sure it had the site right on it or at least the name. If anyone remembers seeing it please let me know!!
