Disneyland Trip 2010: Park Day 1

We all woke up bright and early to get to the park when it opened. The wonderful thing about going to Disneyland in late October is that there are no crowds! I remember waiting in a HUGE line just to get in to the park the last time I went. This time we walked right in and most of the rides were only a 5-10 minute wait in the morning!

It is SO hard to get a good picture of the 4 of us!

First character of the day: Pluto. Addie has no idea who he is and had no desire to stand there alone with him for the picture.
I do plan on making her a book with all of her character photos with their signatures along with some extra photos from the trip. Maybe after Christmas when I have more time. :)

The Rocket ride was her favorite. Disneyland workers are pretty hard core when it comes to riding correctly/safely. Once the ride got going Daniel picked Addie up so she was on his lap to see better. They actually stopped the ride and told everyone that they need to stay seated. A worker went up to Daniel and told him Addie needed to stay on the seat. We weren't sure if it was all Daniel's fault or there was another kid messing around too. Oops. Great way to start off the day!

Aladdin. Again no desire to stand next to him.

Pooh and Tigger. By this point I was hoping I wouldn't have to be in any more character photos! :/

I just think this picture is funny. If Addie wasn't making a funny face it would be perfect.
I should mention how lucky we were to borrow a double stroller from some friends in Vegas. It was wonderful! Thanks Ashlee!

The group. Minus my parents.

3 sisters and a sister-in-law.
(Andrea, me and my 2 sisters Mel and Nicole)
My brother's wife Andrea is stationed at Fort Pendleton in San Diego. He is overseas right now so she decided to join us so we could get to know her a little better.

Cousins!!

Trying out Minnie Mouse's bed.

Finally!! A character photo I didn't have to be in! She had absolutely no problem standing with Mickey. Thank you Fantasia movies for introducing my daughter to Mickey Mouse.

We had a great first day. We stayed in Disneyland all day. Johnny didn't love being in the stroller all day but no major melt downs. We did get to take him on some rides. He seemed to enjoy the lights and sounds. Addie on the other hand did not love all the rides. We took her on The Pirates of the Caribbean and she whined the whole time. She wanted to get off! I guess the cricket sounds scared her. Also the Haunted Mansion she was not a fan of. For lunch that day we ate in the Blue Bayou inside the Pirate ride and the whole time she kept asking if we could go outside. She refused to sit with her back to the water because she was scared. Let's just say we are still working on getting her over her fear of the dark.

Disneyland Trip 2010 Part 1: Newport Beach

In October we took a trip to Las Vegas. The kids and I spent some time there before Daniel came out. He got there on the 26th. The 27th (my birthday) we drove to California to start our Disneyland vacation!
Our first stop was the beach. The kids loved it!! Johnny wanted so bad for us to put him down so he could play in the water. The water was a little chilly and we were not dressed for swimming so we all just put our feet in. Before we left the beach Addie needed a pair of clean/dry jeans because she was running and splashing so much!

That night we went out for dinner then checked in to our hotel. Not a bad way to spend a birthday. :)

Pumpkin Patch 2010

And I'm back!!!

So our computer was having some issues. I wasn't able to publish posts. Frustrating!! There were some other issues that were equally frustrating, like not being able print my shipping labels. Anyway, Daniel installed Windows 7 and we had a whole new batch of issues (like the internet not working). But I think it's been fixed! The other day I was able to print my shipping labels at home which is sooo much easier than standing in line at the post office with 2 kids. And if you are reading this then my blogging issues has been resolved as well!! Yay!!

And thanks to my wonderful hubby for working so diligently and late into the night a few times to make everything work so that I can continue to work on my vinyl stuff. :)

So now, to catch up...
