Diadora 9 Months

I just love.love.LOVE this little face. Even when she wakes up 4 times a night. Yup, even then I find myself kissing her little cheeks. How can you resist?? She is really a sweet baby girl!

Easter

Addie was super excited for Easter morning because she knows there will be 'stuff' in her basket. We went minimalist this year. A couple pieces of candy, a toy and a book. I was feeling kind of holidayed out. I know that isn't a word but you get the idea. We kept it simple, focusing much more on the real meaning of Easter and not so much about the baskets.

They opened their baskets as soon as they got up then we all went to church. After church (and lunch) I hid the eggs in the living room for them to find. They know that I hide the eggs, not the Easter Bunny. I even hinted this year that I buy the stuff for their baskets also but I think Addie still kind of thinks there is a bunny. Maybe I am not being a fun mom but it gets exhausting pretending this imaginary creature comes and fills the basket. It's also hard answering all of their creative questions about how the bunny gets in the house and how does he know who's basket belongs to who. I let it go this year, we'll see what happens next year!

(not sure why I didn't get any pictures of Addie in the morning!)

After church we went outside and had a friend take some family photos for us. I try to get these taken on Christmas and Easter. That's it, not a lot to ask for! My kids did not want to cooperate!

Diadora and her Daddy. I thought I would throw in one of Addie and Daniel too just for fun!

When we got home I tortured the kids with more pictures!

A side by side of my girlies on their first Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt

I took the kids to our ward's annual Easter egg hunt. Daniel was at a basketball game with the Young Men so I was on my own! They are both at the age where they are old enough to go 'hunt' by themselves (although Johnny did have lots of help from an older boy and got way more than he needed!). Dia just hung out in the carrier with me! It was a nice day outside, sunny and bright! We listened to a short Easter message first about the meaning of Easter and it's symbols then we headed outside!

Addie asked if she could take a picture of Dia and I. Not bad for a 5 year old with a phone camera!

Easter Eggs

I told myself I wasn't going to get behind on blogging again, but here I am. Oh well. Here's our Easter egg dying pictures!

This is a really horrible picture of me, but Diadora is cute! She is such a Mama's girl! :)

Addie must have been in a goofy mood that day. I have some pictures that show all of her facial expressions from silly to pouty!

Diadora 8 Months

While we were on our trip, Little Miss Dia turned 8 months! Holy cow it's going so fast! She is getting so hard to take pictures of. She is learning to scoot and move around so she doesn't sit still. I don't know what it is about the blanket. She won't stay on it!

Won't sit down.

Won't look at the camera.

Wants to crawl away.

Finally a couple of good ones.

I thought I would throw in a couple of 'behind the scenes' shots.
Crawling away.

Taking a break. Seriously?

Addie taking a picture of her.

This kid always has to have his turn to get in the picture.
