Diadora Rae

Life with 3 kids is a little busy. I don't think it's as hard (so far!) as I was thinking it was going to be. In these short 7 weeks I have come to terms with the fact that the things that I want to do are just not going to get done. Like blogging. And packing. And organizing and sewing. I have managed to keep up with laundry (for the most part) and I always have food for my family to eat so I guess we are doing fine! I am really trying to give each child some one on one attention during the day which is actually really hard sometimes! I want to make sure I am taking a lot of pictures and trying to capture these moments that I know I will miss one day!

These are a few pictures I've taken in the past week or so. Little Dia is now 7 weeks old and weighs 11 pounds 7 ounces! At 6 weeks Addie was 9 lbs. 15 oz. and Johnny was 9 lbs. 12 oz. She is my little chunky monkey and we love her and her rolls and chubby cheeks!

The other day I had a show on for the older 2 kiddos. When Johnny refuses to nap this is the only way I can get them both to sit and be calm and quiet. I went to check on them and this is how I found them sitting. So sweet! Why can't they get along like this all the time?!

Ballerina

Addie has been taking a ballet class at the rec center. It was only once a week, 45 minute classes. It was something fun for her to do and try. I don't think ballet is her thing, but at least she tried it! And I am glad we did it through the rec center so it wasn't very expensive! So far she hasn't asked to do it again but I am sure she will be using her clothes to dance around our house.

Tonight was her recital. It lasted all of 2 minutes. Short and sweet. Daniel's parents are still in town so they came and I think she was excited to have an audience.

New Hair!

I'm always changing my hair. I get bored. It grows fast so I grow it then cut it. It was short when Johnny was born. I really liked it. Then I took my time growing it back out. My plan was to wait until I lost the baby weight then cut it all off. I decided I couldn't wait that long so last weekend I went in. The hairdresser looked at me funny when I said I wanted to cut it all off. She asked "Today? Like right now?" Funny. I miss the ease of putting it back in a pony tail but I love the time I save having only half the hair to style!

Sleepyhead

This little guy keeps us busy. He frustrates us and makes us laugh. I could listen to his raspy voice all day long. I look forward to nap time when I get a little break. We call him A Little Hulk because when he gets mad he throws objects (and furniture!). He loves his sisters and is trying to figure out how life works!

The other night after we put the kids to bed we were watching TV. I heard Johnny playing in my craft room. He was trying to be very quiet. He was doing a good job too because after a few minutes I forgot that he had come down stairs! Probably about an hour later I got up to go to bed. I laughed when I found him asleep on the floor! This was one of those moments that as a parent you have to document. He rarely sits still and has been really difficult to get to go to sleep lately. We had a good laugh about it before we finally moved him up to his bed.

1 month old

My little monkey is already 1 month old! We love her so much. She has made the transition to 3 kids pretty easy (so far!). As long as she is snuggling with someone she is happy!

Baby Blessing

Today Diadora was blessed at church. We were able to have Daniel's parents and his brother and his kids there with us. Daniel gave a beautiful blessing. The past 2 days have been really warm so the chapel was hot and uncomfortable. When we got home it was 82 degrees in our house! We had a yummy dinner in the crock pot and just hung out! Later nice cold root beer floats for dessert!

New born outfits and Sisters

I think little newborn pajamas are so cute! I bought some new ones when I was pregnant not knowing that they were only going to fit Diadora for a few weeks! I try to get pictures of her in my favorite ones. This giraffe one will probably go to the pile of things that are too small pretty soon.

Look at the chin on this little girl! I call her my monkey because, honestly she kind of looks like one right? Maybe that's mean. I still love her to pieces and think she is adorably sweet! We are loving having her in our family!

Addie is a great set of extra hands when Dia is fussing and I need to finish what I am doing before I can help her. The other day Addie wanted to snuggle with her on the couch. I hope Addie loves her this much when they are both teenagers!
