Peanut Butter and Diapers

Thanks Rebecca for the yummy idea and recipe for those peanut butter balls with chocolate! They turned out so good. Well, they might not look too good but they taste great! I tried to give Addie a bunch to play with like play dough and she was not into playing with it...she just wanted to eat it! Maybe it's because she was in her high chair and that's what she is used to doing when she sits there? I don't know, but she didn't play with it at all. It went straight to her mouth! Yumm...

We are still using our cloth diaper service and I bought her some really cute diaper wraps awhile ago and have been waiting patiently for it to be warm enough for her to crawl around the house in just her diaper so I can see her cute printed behind. Well, it really isn't very warm here, but probably won't get any warmer so the other day I got some pictures of her in her flower wrap.

A little behind

I feel like I started this blog at the perfect time because Addie is at such a fun age and we have taken so many cute pictures of her lately. So I am trying to catch up on posting them.

Lately Addie loves to "help" me with the laundry. By "help" I mean she pulls the wet clothes out of the dryer as soon as I put them in. This particular load was mostly her clothes and of course she found one of her blankets and pulled it out to play with it. She loves her blankets!

She does the sign for 'sleepy' when she is tired and loves to put the blankets on her face.

It's kind of hard to see but she is pulling out one of her other blankets that she found.

One more for tonight...

I have too many cute pictures of her and not enough time to post them all! Daniel just said that I am limited to only 1 post a day from now on and he is limiting my time on here. So 1 post a day...starting tomorrow. :) The other day we were waiting for Addie's Aunt Marika and her cousins to get here so we could go swimming. I started getting her ready and she was being so cranky! So I laid her down to see if she would fall asleep. I went in to check on her a little bit later and this is how I found her ...

Her new thing is to sleep on her tummy with her favorite blanket underneath her. As long as she is still breathing, I think it's adorable.

Beautiful Day for an airshow...

Saturday we went down to McChord Air Force Base for the air expo. The weather was perfect! It was not too hot and the sky cleared up so there was hardly a cloud in sight by the time the Thunderbirds performed. We got there alittle bit late so we missed some of the aerial stuff but we go to see some neat planes on the ground. We met up with Daniel's brother Ben and his family and our friends Katy and Clay and their son. Addie was not so impressed with all of the noise. Actually she screamed everytime the fighter plane flew by. I guess we need to spend some more time at the airport! :)

We sat Addie in one of the big military planes (I couldn't tell you what it's called). Yea, that's an ear plug in her ear that she wouldn't keep in!
This is one of the engines from the same plane.

This is the best picture we got of the F-22 Raptor. It was much cooler in person.

Addie really wanted to go to sleep, but as you can imagine it was a bit too noisy.

Samantha Weeks, #5. She is the first ever female lead solo pilot for the Thunderbirds. I managed to fight the crowd and get her autograph. I tried to take a picture of the two of us myself but the silly camera didn't take it! So this is her signing someone else's book...

Daddy and Addie with the monster truck.

Can you imagine me flying one of these?! I would have to sit on like 5 cushions to see where we were going!

Too many choices...

So I think I could change the look of my blog everyday if I had the time (and the energy)! I changed it the other day then decided I didn't like it so I made this one. It's not the best, but will do for now. Addie is getting some new teeth so she is not sleeping well, but of course we are up until 11pm anyway! It might be a long night...

Addie's first year

We made this slide show for her birthday with some pictures from her first year. We decided to make one to kind of go along with the one Daniel made of her actual 'birth day'. It took me FOREVER to figure out how to get it on here because the original was in a weird format, so anyway, see how she's grown. Turn your volume on, the song is cute!

4th of July

Addie and her cousin Isaac.

It's rare to get a picture with all 3 of us init.

Any day now our lives will be changed when she learns to walk on her own!

She hates the grass! She refuses to touch it with her hands, legs or feet.

She's happy as long as she has something to eat. :)

This time last year we had a little, 1 month old baby girl. I was still staying up until 2 in the morning holding her because every time I put her down she would wake up and scream. Oh, good times. Addie's first fourth of July was not so great. I guess you can't expect a 3 week old baby to be gone all day and then enjoy noisy fireworks going off. I'm pretty sure we spent most of the evening inside my brother and sister in laws house watching everyone through the window. This year was better. She still got cranky toward the end because it was past bed time, but I think she enjoyed the noise. :)

1 year photo shoot

We found this photographer to do our maternity pictures and we ended up buying a baby's first year package. So she did Addie's pictures when she was still in my belly, newborn, 8 months and a year. She does such an awesome job! Addie never poses for pictures like that for me! I always love every picture. So, she started a blog for her business and she puts a 'sneak peak' of the pictures up for us to see so go check out how cute Addie is!

Torture!

I know Addie is a little young to get her ears pierced, but I think it's ADORABLE! They fit her little ears very well. I wanted to get it done a long time ago and Daniel said when she was like 2. So we compromised and got them pierced now that she is 1. Maybe 9 pictures is a lot in a post about getting your ears pierced but I had to show her expressions throughout the process. She actually did very well. She screamed right when the lady did the first hole and was still inhaling to let out a bigger scream when she did the second one. Not even 5 minutes later she was waving at people in the mall. Tough girl!

Here is her "before" picture. No idea what is about to happen. 7:15 pm
We are watching the lady get everything ready.
I love this one. I don't know what she was looking at, the girl putting on gloves or maybe putting the earings in the gun? She doesn't seem to like what she sees!

We didn't get a picture of the first hole being done, this is the second. This picture makes me sad. I almost started crying because her scream was so sad. 7:20 pm

All done! She was a bit upset. 7:20 pm
She kept wanting to grab her ear. Gotta love the pacifier! 7:21pm

Look at that glare! It's funny that she is glaring at Daniel, the one holding the camera, and clinging to me, the one that was holding her down! No more tears though. 7:22 pm

Right after this picture, she started waving at a group of teenagers standing nearby. 7:22 pm

And her pretty "after" shot. This is like 45 minutes later, in the car. She hasn't really tried to grab her ears since. She doesn't seem to notice anything is different and when she is older, she won't remember how much it hurt!

Latest craft project

Happy fourth of July! I saw this idea somewhere and I thought it would be fun and easy to make. It was easy, but they don't really turn. I guess I should have done the method that was a little more complicated and maybe they would actually be functional. But they look cute on our table!

Addie's first birthday!

So her birthday was like 3 weeks ago, but I just got all of the pictures from my mom's camera. We spent alittle over a week down in Vegas to celebrate a few things. My little sister graduated from high school, my brother is home from Iraq, it was Addie's birthday party and Sunday was Father's Day. So here are a few of my favorite pictures:

On the way down to Vegas, there was like no one on the plane. Most people had the whole row to themselves which is perfect when you have a wiggley one. Addie got to sit in her own seat. Can you tell she is totally posing for these 2 pictures.

I just love, love, love her big blue eyes and all of her facial expressions. Adorable.

When I saw this dress, I knew it was THE dress and I had to buy it for her. Good thing it was on sale or she wouldn't be in THE perfect birthday dress.

She looked really excited about her presents but I think she was confused. She couldn't understand why I was letting her hold one then taking it away so she could open another one. Maybe next year she will have a better understanding.

And what would a first birthday be without the opportunity to get cake alllll over the place? I think she really enjoyed it, can you tell my the pictures? :)

Here's what the cake looked like as a whole piece, made by Addie's Aunt Mel
