Random

Here are a bunch of random photos from my phone:

I can't remember if I put this on the blog already or not (sorry of any of these are repeats!). Johnny is really in to dressing up right now. One night he insisted on eating his spaghetti dinner with goggles on his head!

Our ward Christmas party of Grinch theme. They did a whole reading and acting out of the story. It was pretty good!

Diadora fell asleep. :)

Addie loves to help me around the house (I should take advantage of it more!). She asked to help me with the laundry so I let her sort the diapers!

Again, sorry if these next few were already posted earlier. One of our Christmas activities was to decorate gingerbread cookies. I think it was more of a hit than the gingerbread house we usually do.

Daniel's cool cookie!

A few weeks ago I noticed Diadora had some bruise looking marks on his wrist. I had no idea what they were from and I was a little concerned. While I was watching her play I noticed she was sucking on her arm giving herself hickeys! I try to make sure her arms on covered until she stops doing that!

This is our only picture from our Anniversary! Daniel planned out our whole date. He surprised me with appointments for massages. Then we headed to dinner at a Sushi place (No, we don't like sushi. They have a vegetable roll that I get, Daniel got terikaki chicken and I LOVE their edemame). Happy 8th anniversary to us!

Since the weather is pretty chilly right now, I can't just scoop the kids up from their naps to go pick Addie up. I have to bundle everyone up or else we freeze! Poor Johnny D is never ready to get up, and I hate to wake him! One afternoon I got his slippers, jacket and hat on without him waking up! He is usually still half asleep by the time we get to the school.

Starting the first Sunday of 2013 Johnny D is no longer in Primary at church (for kids ages 18mo-3 years old.) He is officially a Sunbeam! (3-4 years old) And he loves it! I am impressed by how well he is learning the Primary songs and he loves to tell us all about what he learned that day!

Little miss is learning to sit up! So exciting!

One of my goals to go with my 'time' word is to do more crafts with the kids. Addie found this one in a magazine and has been asking me for months to make it. I finally made myself go out to the rec room one night (it's freezing in there!) and find all of the supplies to make it. Sunday night we sat down to make it. It's a little baby wrapped in a blanket. She was so excited about it.

This is probably bad but, I usually don't lock the door when we leave to take Addie to school. The other day we were on our way out the door. I closed the back door and got everyone in the stroller. Addie wanted to go back in for her gloves but when I tried to open the door it was locked! Of course I didn't have my keys! Our front door as a code lock on it so you don't have to carry a key. Unfortunately, since we hadn't gone anywhere that day, the bottom lock (that needs a key) was still locked! Are you kidding?! I took Addie to school then called Daniel. He couldn't come home for about and hour and half and it was freezing outside so I starting calling people I knew within walking distance. Johnny informed me at one point that he needed to go to the bathroom. We were outside so I figured he could just go in the grass or something. I think it was a little too cold for the little guy because he couldn't go! Finally I saw a bucket and had him sit on that and everything was good again! After about 30 minutes my friend called me back and said we could hang out over there until Daniel got home. Johnny was so happy! She made him hot chocolate as soon as we got there then he got to play with her son who had stayed home that day! Daniel got home just as it was time to pick Addie up from school. Now Johnny asks everyday after we drop Addie off if we can go to Sister Wilson's house!

Popcorn

Monday night I wanted to sit down and write down some goals with the kids for 2013. While we were cleaning up dinner, Daniel grabbed the camera to get some video of Dia. I was feeding her some turkey and something baby food. Apparently she did not like it! Her reaction was too funny, I'm glad we got it on video!  Too he honest, judging by how the food smelled, I don't think I would have eaten it either! After that was done he snapped some photos of the kids playing Captain American and Hulk. I let them watch the Avengers earlier that afternoon so they were a bit crazy trying to act like Superheros. I think that movie might disappear for awhile. We eventually got to the goal writing part of the night!
After the turkey I gave her some pears and she was happy with that!

We see lots of Captain America lately!

Time to write some goals! (And explain what goals are!)

Then it was treat time! My mom sent us an air popcorn maker so we had to test it out! The kids were super excited about it! Now we need to find some good seasoning to go with it!

Johnny D's goals

Addisen's goals.

The paper that I downloaded for Daniel and I to fill out has a place for my 'word' of the year. I have never picked a word before although I see lots of people doing it. I don't even like to sit down and write goals, Daniel loves it! I decided to go with it and choose something this year. The word I chose is "Time". I want to work on managing my time better and on things that matter more. Mostly my kids. We'll see how we all do with our 2013 goals!

Diadora 6 Months

Hard to believe she is already 6 months old! Time is sure flying! She is getting so big too fast! When I took these photos she was just starting to sit up, now she is really good at it! She still falls over sometimes but I can sit her down on the floor and leave her there for a while! This is always my favorite stage! (Oh, and I'm pretty sure Addie was 15 pounds at almost a year old!)

Christmas 2012

Finally posting about Christmas! I don't know what it is about Christmas that is so hard to sit down and write a blog post. I think in previous years I've just skipped it altogether. This year I am actually posting about it! Yay!

Christmas Eve:

Dia's first Christmas Eve!
The kids get to open one present on Christmas Eve. I didn't want them to open one of their toys and they already had Christmas (winter) pajamas. I was trying to come up with something else I could give them. I've seen lots of people making pillowcases and they seemed easy enough so I made some Christmas pillow cases! (Don't worry Grandma and Grandpa Pedersen, the ones I made came off and the ones you sent went on immediately after they opened yours!).

The kids woke up about their usual time on Christmas morning. It was like 8:30. They were both super excited! Dia slept until about 10:00 so it was nice to be able to watch the older 2 without wrestling a baby in our arms! When she woke up we helped her open her gifts.
