Summer Trip to Las Vegas

At the end of July we took a trip down to Las Vegas. Typically we stay away from there during the summer months because it is so stinking hot but my older sister was getting married! We made it work with lots of swimming and staying inside in the A/C! My kids had a blast and are always asking when can we go back and stay at Grandma Huckaby's house!
This kid was fearless in the water. The first 1 or 2 times in the pool he was careful and wanted to hold on to someone but then he was swimming all over by himself (with the floaties mostly). Toward the end of the trip he even jumped in without the floaties on! He would swim a few feet to me with no help! Addie was a different story. She is a bit more cautious and insisted on keeping her floaties on and making sure someone was always there to catch her!

Gotta love kisses from a 1 year old!

'Surfing'!!

Helping Grandpa fix a car with real tools!

We even tried a few green smoothies while we were there. Have to eat healthy on vacation right?!

Before the wedding we threw my sister a Bridal Shower. I tried my best to make it cute and fun!

Addie even helped out with signage of where to put the gifts. :)

Melanie wanted us all to wear black and she was going to wear white. I guess at the last minute she didn't like her white outfit so she showed up in black too! So here is the group, all in black!

Mom, Mel, Me, Nicole.

Addie wanted to join us ladies too.

We took on the project of creating the center pieces for the wedding reception. It was a little crazy and we had to get creative with what we had but I think they turned out cute!

Nicole and Blake even stopped by to help us make the gifts for the wedding guests to take home!

Diadora's first birthday!

I know I am behind. I am always behind. Let's see if I can catch up. Probably not but it's a good goal anyway!

Over 2 months ago, my baby girl turned 1!! My mom was in town so we all got to celebrate together. She was not too sure about opening her presents, good thing big brother was there to help her out. :) She did know exactly what to do when it came time to eat her cupcake though. That's my girl, loves to eat!

She wasn't too happy to take a picture with me.

She loves this toy, mostly because she can shove lots of little toys in the front compartment. Oh man, we might have another mini hoarder on our hands!

I want cake!

I guess we weren't moving fast enough, she was getting impatient!

She didn't even hesitate.

Happy birthday baby girl!!
