Summer!?

Winter has been long here.
I was just beginning to wonder if we were going to have a summer at all. It is the end of June and we were still wearing pants and sometimes a light jacket.
Then this week came.
And so did the sun!
It seems weird to me, being from Las Vegas and all, that it's 77 degrees outside and I am sitting out there watching my daughter swim.

Today we went to the store and bought the little pool.
It sounded like a simple enough task. It wasn't until after I had already told Addie that we would go get one that I realized it was probably not going to fit in the trunk.
So, I loaded the kids in the truck, (This is no easy task to do alone considering it only has a small cab)
bought the pool, which then had to be tied down in the bed of the truck and brought it home safely. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself. :)
And Addie loves the pool.
Both kids loved the popsicles we had.

Living room Fort

Monday night we made a fort in the living room. This was Addie's first ever fort!
We played games, roasted marshmallows and enjoyed chocolate milk.

Kind of a weird picture, but I love how little kids are in awe of the simplest things, like a flashlight.

I know she loves him.
Sometimes too much.

Happy Birthday Addisen!

My baby girl turned 3 on June 13th. I think her and I are going to start a tradition of getting pedicures for her birthday. Something fun that just she gets to do. She was pretty excited to sit in the pink chair and get her nails painted. They even did her finger nails to match.

Then it was off to our favorite birthday celebration restaurant, Red Robin...

She claps along every time she sees the employees singing the birthday song, she's got it down. :)

Sunday was her actual birthday. Presents, cupcakes and silliness!

She specifically asked for three things this yer:

Pink cupcakes, a pink balloon and a pink scooter.

Should have been a great day because she got all three!

The day she turned 3 something changed. She became even more opinionated than before (if that's possible!). This video is a great representation of what I get to see everyday.

Handsome

I am sorting through all of our photos from our Vegas/Utah trip and I really like these 2 of my little man.
There are a lot to choose from because he is so happy. :)
Not so many of his sister though.
Because she is 3.
And she is independent and stubborn.
