Family Photos
I have been patiently waiting for this 'sneak peak' to be posted, I was so excited to see them!! Check out her blog, Park Avenue Photography. This is the same photographer we have been using since I was preggo with Addie. For this photo shoot we went to Tacoma and got some great outdoor pictures. It rained on us a little bit which was a bummer because my hair doesn't do well in the rain, but the ones she posted are really good! If you search through the other galleries, you will see more of us (and my belly!). I will post more when we get all of them. Enjoy!!

Our baby is 2!!!
We celebrated Addie's 2nd birthday on Saturday. I can't believe she is already 2 years old!! Lately she has really been acting like a 2 year old though...fun times to come I am sure! We had a few people over to help celebrate. She was sooo wired after the whole day she didn't end up falling asleep until a little after 10 last night. She seemed to really have a good time though. Thanks to everyone who came and those people who helped me with the cake and decorations!
Saturday morning we noticed that the plant in front of our porch (we were starting to wonder if it was just a weed) had a single flower on it, just for Addie. I think it's a fantastic color for a flower! There are going to be more hopefully in the next few days. :)
She 'helped' me bake the cake so it was only fair to let her enjoy one of the beaters from the bowl.

Her butterfly cake that I actually baked and it tasted pretty good! I did not do the decorating though...thanks Colleen!
Happy Birthday banner that took me hours. I decided to laminate it so that it could be used again.
I made little place mats for all of the kids.
Opening presents was a fun experience this year. She opened one, looked at it, threw it aside and grabbed another one. Typical. We did get some pictures where she actually looks excited about what she opened.
This picture just made me laugh. We are in the middle of opening gifts. I am not sure what is going on. Jack is playing with the opened gifts, Brooklyn is on my lap and Addie is using her climbing skills to get ON the table.

Grateful for working Daddies...
and the jobs they have! It's days like today that I am truly reminded how blessed I am to have 1) a husband who has a job 2) a husband who has an excellent job that allows me to stay home with Addie all day. Yesterday we spent the morning at the park with our play group, and ended the afternoon at the pool. Today we enjoyed walking around the air conditioned mall buying some finishing touches for Addie's outfits for Saturday. We then headed to Casa Mia for some lunch. (I am really craving their salad lately!) Addie was being so silly while we were there. The other people in the restaurant must have thought I was a weirdo because I kept laughing out loud at the things she was doing. It's so fantastic being able to spend time with her doing the little things like shopping and eating lunch. I know I complain sometimes about how much Daniel works or how he is late coming home so that I can go to work like 50% of the time, but I am grateful that my work is really optional and that he works so hard (and enjoys it) so that I can enjoy being a mommy all day!

Second Trimester
Well I am through what is the worst part for most pregnant ladies. For me though, the first trimester is really not so bad. Other than feeling really tired and a little irritable, I don't really feel pregnant for the first 14 weeks. The second trimester though is different. With Addie that was the worst part of the pregnancy. I was hoping that this time would be different but judging by how I feel this morning, it looks like it might be the same. It still is not nearly as bad as it could be, I am very grateful that I feel as good as I do. I just can't stand long enough to blow dry my hair in the morning (and it's not like it's that long!) and walking up the stairs drains the energy right out of me. Days like today I am sooo happy that Addie still takes 2 hour naps in the afternoon because that means I have 1 hour to be productive and 1 hour to sleep! I am still in my regular pants (some thanks to the Bella Band) but I have started wearing some maternity shirts and dresses just because they are WAY more comfortable than regular shirts even though I don't fill them out yet. We're excited for our midwife appointment next week!
