We all stayed in a cabin in Big Cotton Wood Canyon. The canyon is pretty to drive through (and we did drive up and down it several times!). The first time up there Addie made a comment about how pretty is was. I guess she is not used to seeing mountains up close. Especially ones that are not covered with tall evergreens!
So the house was pretty big. 3 stories plus a loft area. 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, a large great room, 2 large dining room tables and a family/game room in the lower level. It also had a sauna, hot tub, fire pit, pool table and ping pong table. There were lots of things to do! The outside of the house was kind of hard to get a picture of so I included what we got.
The back, kind of. :)
Doesn't Johnny D look like a Pedersen? That's Daniel's brother Ben and Grandpa.
5 of 11 kids. There were 2 outside picnic tables so we could enjoy the fresh mountain air!
Every night Grandma and Grandpa would talk for about 10-15 about their 'story'. It was pretty fun to see some of the pictures from early in their marriage and to learn more about them! After they were done each night, a different family would do a show and tell type thing. The first night was Amy (Daniel's only sister) and Galen's night. They showed a neat slide show of pictures of their family from the past year. Kids listening intently to Gma and Gpa. Waiting for the slide show. I had to include this one. I seriously have so many pictures like this. Really?! Can he smile and keep his eyes open at the same time while I take his picture?
