Welcome 2016!! And surprise, surprise. I am behind on my blog! Here I go catching up...
In October all the kids and I got to tag along on a field trip to the pumpkin patch with Dia's preschool class! It was one of those perfect fall mornings. Chilly, foggy, Halloweeny. :)
We saw animals, took a hay ride and picked out small pumpkins. By the end I was exhausted but I think they all had fun!

We made a second trip to a farm to buy our pumpkins for carving. We like this place because they charge $1 per pumpkin any size!! The kids can pick the biggest one they want and we don't have to worry about it costing a fortune!
She insisted on having her picture taken with this guy!

Finally getting to carve those pumpkins is the best part! I told the older 2 kids that they were going to be responsible for cleaning out their own pumpkins so they should keep that in mind when they were picking the biggest one they could find. They both did pretty well but did need a little bit of help. Addie and Johnny came up with their own designs and did most of the work. I helped Dia make one with little colored pegs .

Next came the ward trunk or treat. It was short and sweet. Food, costume parade, then trunk or treat. We were out of candy in like 5 minutes, our ward has so many kids!

Finally Halloween!! We lucked out because it wasn't raining and it wasn't freezing cold. We went around our neighborhood. Daniel took the little girls home and I took Addie and Johnny to a few more houses just as it started to sprinkle! We ended up with WAY to much candy! Addie's orthodontist office does a candy buy back after Halloween. The kids picked out the candy they didn't want and they each got $3-$4! I did feel bad for Addie because she had just gotten her spacer put in her mouth so she couldn't eat a bunch of the sticky candy. :(
