Friday afternoon we took a short drive with the group to look at some old bunkers. They were never really used for battle, I think they only ended up using them to practice for a possible invasion from the water. Washington wanted to protect its resources. We didn't tour the yellow buildings but we did walk through the bunkers and in all of the rooms. Pretty cool to see. We had to use our imaginations as to what all of those rooms were used for!
This was a huge gun that they built but never used!
Apparently this is the only picture we took of any of the kids. They were all so busy running from room to room exploring!
